Dengel writes blog on muscle-to-bone ratio in collegiate rowers

Don Dengel, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology (LIHP), is the author of a recent blog post entitled “Muscle-To-Bone Ratio In NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Female Rowers.” Recently, the muscle-to-bone ratio (MBR) has become a topic of interest in the world of athletics and performance. In this blog, regional as well as total measures of MBR were examined in 91 female NCAA Division I rowers, and compared to 173 age-, sex-, and body mass index (BMI)-matched controls. In addition, the blog talks about seasonal changes in body composition in these female collegiate rowers.
